Project concluded
Dartmouth’s current Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) was completed in 2014-2015 and is certified through 2022, at which time it will expire and a new certified plan will need to be approved by the State. An up-to-date OSRP is a key component in setting direction, policy, and priority actions across a number of dimensions that support quality of life in Dartmouth. An approved plan also enables the Town to access key funding sources from the state, such as PARC and LAND grants. The Dartmouth Open Space and Recreation Planning effort is founded on your ideas, thoughts, and preferences for the future of open space and recreation in Dartmouth please click here to take a brief survey.
At the June 21, 2021 Dartmouth Select Board Meeting, the Select Board voted to re-establish the Open Space and Recreation Plan Steering Committee. Working with the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District (SRPEDD), this team will have the end goal of completing a comprehensive Open Space and Recreation Plan that accurately addresses the needs of the Town.
The Town of Dartmouth will be hosting three workshops in regards to the updating of the Town's Open Space and Recreation Plan. More information on these meetings can be found here(External link).
