To improve the usability and practicality of the Rogers Street Boat Ramp, the Town is looking to upgrade the boat launch which serves as a Clarkes Cove access point.

Currently, the project is awaiting the design phase.

The goal of this project, once constructed, is to have a usable and durable boat ramp on Rogers Street and to maximize the use of the Town-owned parking lot at the end of Rogers Street.

This will be achieved by giving an alternative option to the boat launch and boat trailer parking at the Town’s Apponagansett Point and Dias Landing, alleviating the high use at that location.

The estimated cost of the design is $300,000. This project has been funded through a Seaport Economic Council (SEC) grant and local American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
